What is Scanner Art?
Scanner Art, sometimes called "Scanography" or "Scannography," is created with a high quality flatbed scanner similar to the type that is found in homes and offices today. I use an Epson Expression 10000XL, a standalone graphic arts scanner capable of making some very fine images. Scanning everyday objects at a very high resolution produces images of stunning clarity and beauty. The scanner's built-in light source provides a soft, even and very pleasing effect that compliments and enhances most subject matter. The resulting images have a unique quality with a vividness and realism that is unmatched by any other process.
